MEMBERS ARE NEEDED FOR THE COLOR GUARD!
VFW POST 9592'S COLOR GUARD IS MADE UP OF VOLUNTEERS FROM WITHIN THE POST.
THE COLOR GUARD PERFORMS DURING MANY DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS AND CEREMONIES,
SUCH AS:
THE LEVITTOWN MEMORIAL DAY PARADE, LEVITTOWN VETERANS DAY CEREMONY, WAKE SERVICES FOR VETERANS, WANTAGH INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE, DISTRICT TEN MEMORIAL SERVICE AND CERTAIN OTHER POST, TOWN AND COUNTY FUNCTIONS AND CEREMONIES.
DUTIES OF THE COLOR GUARD MAY INCLUDE:
DETAIL SERGEANT, FLAG BEARER, RIFLEMAN, BUGLE PLAYER, MASTER OF CEREMONIES, ESCORTS, GUARD AND OTHER SUCH DUTIES AS MAY FROM TIME TO TIME BE REQUIRED BY THE EVENT OR THE COLOR GUARD SERGEANT

COLOR GUARD UNIFORMS ARE PROVIDED BY THE POST.
COLOR GUARD TRAINING
MEMBERS OF THE COLOR GUARD ARE DIRECTED TO ACCESS THE "MEMBERS ONLY" SECTION AND CLICK ON "COLOR GUARD TRAINING" AND "OPERATION OF THE M1 GARAND" IN ORDER TO REVIEW PROPER PROCEDURES FOR DRILL AND CEREMONIES.
